More than 200 kilometers and a climb on one of the most beautiful roads in Europe to Bâlea Lac made the third day of the Sibiu Cycling Tour the queen stage.
Florian Lipowitz started the day in second place in the overall standings. Lipowitz turned the tables with a perfect team strategy and a superb climbing performance. He reached the summit finish in third place and jumped to first place in the overall standings. In addition to the mountain jersey, he also took the yellow leader's jersey.
A commanding lead of 20 seconds separates Lipowitz from his first stage win of the season ahead of tomorrow's final stage. With 192 kilometers and an undulating profile, Tuesday will be challenging, but the sprinters will not want to miss out on this opportunity.
