Davide Donati had already attracted attention at the start with a strong second place in the bunch sprint - and thus captured the white jersey of the best young rider, which he was allowed to wear for one day. Hajek finished second in the final standings of this special classification. The Rookies also managed to achieve at least one top ten finish on every single day of the stage race.
What counts most for me is how they rode as a team. That's why I was absolutely delighted to win the team classification
Sven Vanthourenhout, Sporting Director
"The victory in the team classification was absolutely deserved. We were able to finish in the top ten every day and had two riders in the overall standings at the end - those are strong results. But what counts most for me is how they rode as a team. That's why I was absolutely delighted with the victory in the team classification," commented Sven Vanthourenhout, who was on site as Sporting Director, on the performance.

In the decisive moments, each individual stepped out of their comfort zone, Vanthourenhout continued: "Whether it was collecting bottles from the car or preparing a mountain top finish for the whole team - not everything was a matter of course, but with the right attitude, many things are possible," he continued. His conclusion was correspondingly positive: "I look back on the last few days with pride and satisfaction."
The next race for the Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe Rookies is the Giro della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, which takes place from 4 to 7 September 2025.
